May 28, 2023 at 9:00 am - 11:30 am

WhatFind your Flow is a mountain bike (MTB) program designed to support women to build their confidence riding the trails.  It is for women riding green (beginner) and open to riding blue (intermediate) trails in Alice Springs. Together we will workshop obstacles, support each other, embody a growth mindset, find our flow, and have an amazing time doing it!

Why – to increase confidence to mountain bike the Alice Springs trails.

As a participant it is intended that you will experience:

  • Successfully riding over obstacles for the first time through MTB coaching, one on one feedback, and group support
  • positivity and encouragement in an emotionally and mentally safe environment
  • how to read and ride local trails (choosing a line, terrain awareness, maps, and trail names in Arrernte, how cool is that?)
  • mindset awareness to allow for more enjoyable riding
  • what to take riding so you are prepared
  • how to deal with mechanicals (things going wrong with your bike) and accidents
  • increased self-efficacy about what you can do on a MTB
  • inspiration and flow
  • connection with your strengths
  • joy of connecting with other incredible women outdoors
  • instruction, guidance, belief, and support from George.

Quotes from previous participants:

“I have never done a group activity where such a safe, welcoming and encouraging space was held. This safe space was the most valuable thing to me as it gave me the courage to let myself go on the trails.”

“Starting off each session discussing where we were emotionally and physically was liberating. Voicing my vulnerabilities and listening to others speak facilitated a real connection amongst the group which was evident out on the trails. Riding in such supportive environment exponentially increased my ability to learn techniques and to find my flow.”

***Please note this program requires a minimum of 4 riders to go ahead.***
