Ride Club – beginner women mountain bikers regular supported trail rides

$167.00 – $287.00Ride Club is for beginner women mountain bikers who want to ride regularly in a supported trail ride and continue to develop skills along the way.
Have you done a Beginner Skills Program and want to keep progressing your riding, or at least maintaining those skills?
Do you want to ride with others that are at the same/similar skill level and not worry that you’re holding others back?
Do you want to build your confidence and skills and get familiar with Alice Springs trails?
Do you want to keep your momentum over winter and need some motivation?
Do you want to be part of a friendly, fun, female MTB community?
This will be perfect for you!
Who this isn’t for:
- Riders who don’t want to progress any skills
- Riders who are already comfortable with the skills they have and aren’t looking to improve
- Riders who want a high intensity work out. While we try to match everyone to their level of skill and fitness, we always wait for the slowest rider.
- Strong intermediate or advanced riders who want to be challenged on black trails.
The details:
This program runs from August 1st through to October 31st, a total of 13 weeks.
- Fortnightly skills focus into your email on a Friday, with photos, video and description to practise at home.
- 2 or 3 x 90min guided Skills + Social ride per month on green trails and blue trails at East Side and West Side, with a focus on specific skills from previous weeks. These are ‘no drop’ rides, and we wait for the slowest rider.
- Extra dates for make-up rides, so that you can still get a ride in if you’re away for a weekend- as long as you give advanced notice.
- Closed WhatsApp group for riders to share wins, ask questions and general chat
- Social dinner
- Bike Tech night: 1.5hr session to learn the basics of maintenance and trailside repairs.
- A prerequisite for joining Ride Club is that participants must have at least completed a foundational mtb skills course, either with Wellness on Wheels or another provider OR have some solid mtb experience.
- After rides, participants are welcome and encouraged to stay and chat at the Café (location will change depending on where we ride).
