Imagine yourself mountain biking hand-made flowy trails amongst an ancient desert landscape of escarpments, ochre colours, ghost gums, and blue skies.

You are hanging out with like-minded women in an encouraging, supportive, and empowering environment. There is space to relax, laugh, connect, and do what you need to rejuvenate.

Immersive indigenous cultural activities inspire you, and you start to feel joy energise every cell in your body.

You are further nourished by nutritious home-made food, mindful practices, and reflection. This is your time to ride, recharge, and live life fully.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from Alice Springs Airport, sunset welcome drinks and dinner.

Day 2: Mountain Bike West Side trails, Alice Springs, lunch at Yaye’s Café, visit Araluen Arts Centre, fireside chat.

Day 3: Yoga, Mountain Bike East Side Trails, Alice Springs, dinner at The Brewery

Day 4: Ormiston Gorge day trip, walk The Pound and nature journalling, dinner at Hanuman’s

Day 5: Mountain bike East Side (locals only trails), Alice Springs, Bush Balm Workshop and lunch, Art Precinct Tour.

Day 6: Mountain Bike the Hell Line, optional massage, BBQ dinner.

Day 7: Drop off at Alice Springs Airport

What’s included:

We are aiming to facilitate an extraordinary mountain bike experience for you in Central Australia. All organisation, transport, logistics, accommodation, and most food are taken care of for you, so you can do your best mountain biking, connect with yourself, the women in the group, and the desert in a calm, relaxed, and super fun way.

  • Qualified and experienced female Mountain Bike & Outdoor Education coaches (ratio 1:6 guide to participant)
  • Guided rides and walks
  • 6 nights accommodation
  • 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 4 dinners.
  • All transport
  • Airport and accommodation pick up and drop off
  • National Park passes

 

Tjanpi Desert Weavers is a social enterprise of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women that you may visit on the Arts Precinct Tour.

    • 1 x breakfast, 2 x lunches and 2 x dinner
    • Flights and insurance

Some other points of note:

  • The mountain bike skill required is from strong beginner up. We will have two guided groups to cater for different skill and fitness levels.
  • This adventure will require moderate to high fitness. Everyday we will ride or walk between 2-4hrs and 8.5 – 36kms
  • A packing list will be sent
  • A form will be sent to gather details on emergency contacts, medical information, eating requirements, bike hire etc!
